Mobilvetta Warranty

 

  • Light visible through some points of the cell structure depends on the construction specifications of the body and the physical properties of the fibreglass and is not an indication, in any way, of a construction defect or a shortcoming in the waterproofing of the joins, thermal insulation or the structural soundness of the vehicle.
  • On some models, the construction technology does not include the bonding of the fibreglass panel covering the roof of the vehicle and therefore, in certain climatic conditions, the fibreglass could be subject to slight thermal expansion which could manifest itself in the form of undulation. This does not, under any circumstances, indicate a construction defect or deficiency in the waterproofing or thermal insulation or the structural soundness of the vehicle.

 

Two Year Warranty

 

You will receive a copy of the Warranty Booklet when your motorhome is handed over you. An excerpt is given below.

 

Your vehicle must be given a Habitation Service once a year at the sales dealer, a MOBILVETTA authorised workshop or a SEA Service authorised workshop to make sure it is kept safe and efficient under the terms of the warranty.

The dealer gave you this Owner Handbook, the Warranty Booklet and the Handbooks for all the installed equipment when your new vehicle was handed over to you. Check that the Warranty Booklet has been duly filled in and that "Warranty Certificate" has been registered on SEA Web Service.

When a repair needs to be carried out under warranty, please display the Warranty Certificate that you were given together with the vehicle, filled in and stamped by the sales dealer and the receipts for any operations carried out previously.

 

Components such as the chassis and the refrigerator, hob, boiler, oven, control unit, sanitary fittings and auxiliary battery are covered under the original manufacturer’s warranty. The respective warranties are supplied together with the vehicle. You are requested to check for their presence.

 

It should also be remembered that the warranty cannot be enforced and should therefore be considered as having expired in the case of defects stemming from maintenance that was not been carried out or in case of obvious negligence regarding regular maintenance or by tampering with the original product.

 

In case of uncertainty concerning the application of the warranty, the Dealer will charge the customer for the repair, reserving the right for reimbursement only after the case has been examined by SEA.

 

Warranty Conditions

 

  • The MOBILVETTA authorised dealer has no contractual obligation for defects that are a result of normal wear and tear or misuse, usage that differs from intended use, insufficient maintenance, overloads, exceeding the top speed.
  • Any modifications made to the vehicle, such as repairs or tampering, even in part, carried out by someone other than the Manufacturer’s workshops, Dealers or authorised workshops, without prior, written agreement from the Manufacturer, will automatically lead to the forfeit of the warranty.

 

Warranty

 

  • The warranty will also not be valid if spare parts other than those recommended by the Manufacturer are fitted on the vehicle.
  • The warranty ceases to be effective in case of change of ownership if the new owner did not notify the authorised dealer within 10 days for the new ownership to be registered on the Sea Service portal.
  • The warranty does not cover parts and accessories not made by SEA such as: chassis, indicators, refrigerators, heaters, ovens, water boilers, wash basins, stoves and tyres. SEA surrenders the rights to the warranty, legal and/or stipulated, to the buyer for these products, due to them, with regard to the manufacturers of these products.

 

The warranty conditions illustrated above are absolute and irrevocable; the buyer is bound to accept them when purchasing the vehicle

 

Ten year warranty against infiltrations

 

There is a warranty against infiltrations valid for ten (10) years enclosed in the Warranty booklet provided. Its contents are set out below, in brief, and we would ask you to follow the programme closely. With a view to constantly improving the performance of your vehicle and thanks to a quality control system combined with tested production methods, SEA is currently able to offer its customers a new warranty against water infiltration that could seriously damage the vehicle body.

 

In order to benefit from this special warranty, the customer simply requested to have the vehicle inspected, at regular intervals, by the sales dealer or, alternatively, by any NCC authorised dealer or SEA Service authorised workshop.

 

Make sure that your vehicle is inspected in accordance with the SEA Service defined body inspection procedures. The time allowances and methods for these checks are described in the warranty booklet. The customer is responsible for the cost of the inspection and it should be documented both by filling in the respective coupons enclosed with the warranty and through the relevant fiscal documentation (receipt, invoice, etc.) enclosed.

 

If the vehicle is sold, registering the new ownership on the SEA Web Service portal will allow the new owner to take over the warranty from the previous customer, providing that the conditions set out in this booklet are strictly followed and the implementation of the routine maintenance can be verified through the fiscal document.

 

This warranty ceases to be effective in the following cases:

 

  • In case of infiltrations determined by damage caused to the vehicle in accidental circumstances such as an accident, accessories which are not been properly fitted, negligence, treatment of the body with unsuitable materials or any other factor not directly attributable to SEA.
  • In case of any confirmed damage not notified within 30 days of the date of occurrence to a MOBILVETTA authorised dealer or a SEA Service authorised workshop or SEA or if non-genuine spare parts or unsuitable materials were used.
  • If the (current or previous) customer failed to respect the regular inspection frequency and consequently did not repair damage which determined or may have determined water infiltrations.
  • The warranty ceases to be effective in case of change of ownership if the new owner did not notify SEA.

 

In the case of manufacturing defects concerning the body waterproofing during the period covered by the warranty, the manufacturer is responsible for:

 

  • the labour costs for any repairs;
  • materials and components used for the repairs.

 

The customer, on the other hand, is responsible for the following:

 

  • costs for implementing of the inspection coupons;
  • transport costs for moving the vehicle to a MOBILVETTA authorised dealer or to a SEA Service authorised
  • workshop chosen to have the inspection and any repairs carried out;
  • cost of repairs in the case of an accident or incorrect use of the vehicle;
  • any type of damage or expense connected to the impossibility of using the vehicle whilst the repair operations are being carried out.

TEN THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW.

 

Registering For Your Warranty

 

We ask you to make sure, when you purchase your Adria vehicle, that your personal and contact details and your new vehicle are registered on our warranty system – by your Adria dealer at the point of purchase. This ensures we know who owns the vehicle and that we can get in touch should we need to. If you subsequently change address or contact details, or you decide to sell your vehicle then please inform your Adria dealer and have them change your details on the warranty system.

 

GENERAL WARRANTY CONDITIONS (summary).

 

The full warranty policy documents can be inspected at your authorized Adria Representative (Adria dealer) and you should be made familiar with them when purchasing your Adria vehicle.

 

Here is a summary of the main things you need to know.

 

  • ADRIA MOBIL Ltd. from Novo mesto (Slovenia), represented by (agency to insert national Adria distributor details), grants the ADRIA products purchasers a 24-month warranty on all equipment from the registration date onwards and a special 120-month »WARRANTY PLUS* (WATER INGRESS WARRANTY)« for the following factory faults:*Water leaking with severe consequences regarding the life-span and usage of the Adria motorhome, van or caravan, which is caused exclusively in the living room part. This warranty is subject to the habitation unit being serviced annually by an Adria dealership within a month of the original date of purchase for the duration of the 10 year Adria water ingress warranty. Note all Aviva caravan models and Sun Living motorhomes and Sun Living vans are specifically excluded, these are subject to a special 60-month Warranty Plus.
  • The Manufacturer is liable to replace all parts with factory defects, free of charge. Warranty refers to the malfunctioning parts and/or elements as well as mounting, except for the parts and/or elements, which deteriorate due to attrition, such as glass, windows, tires, accumulators and such equipment as the fridge, heating, water heater, to which individual manufacturers’ warranties refer.
  • Warranty also does not refer to parts and/or elements which deteriorate due to carelessness or improper handling, poor maintenance, overloading or inattentiveness. Warranty does not refer to varnish scratches that may appear when washing and cleaning the vehicle’s exterior. Warranty also does not refer to varnish damages that appear due to usage of abrasive and dissolving materials.
  • Repairs under warranty are free of charge if carried out in accordance with the details of the warranty policy and are undertaken by an Authorized Adria representative. Transport costs for the vehicle and/or parts are customer-borne. During repair time the customer is not entitled to indemnity due to not being able to use the vehicle. Replaced parts and/or elements remain the manufacturer’s property.
  • The purchaser has to report all discovered defects immediately and exclusively to an authorised Adria representative. The manufacturer reserves the right to accept or deny a defect report.
  • Warranty duration is not extended due to interventions, performed at the vehicle during warranty period.
  • The manufacturer is not at all responsible for eventual accidents and/or damages of people and things, which may occur during the usage of the vehicle although the event may have been caused by a defect itself.
  • Any eventual disputes between the parties regarding an indemnity claim are settled in the competence of a court of law.
  • Consult your authorised representative regarding any repair or spare parts. During your travels you can consult one of Adria’s authorized dealers, a list of which is shown on our website.
  • Adria is not responsible for mounting, changes, performed on the caravan by a third person. In such event the warranty ceases to exist.

5 Year Water Ingress Guarantee

 

The 5-year specific guarantee for the water tightness of the body shell will come into effect from the date of the registration of the motorhome.

Only authorised Panama distributors are able to carry out work under the conditions of the guarantee.

 

The owner is responsible to ensure the service requirements are carried out in accordance with the guarantee.

 

Breach of these provisions will mean the complete cancellation of the 5-year water ingress warranty and 24 month Habitation Guarantee.

 

The guarantee will not be applicable in the event of:

 

  • Interventions carried out outside of the authorised network of distributors unless approval has been agreed by Benimar.
  • Abnormal use of the vehicle. Modification of the body shell.
  • All types of optional assemblies not carried out at source by the builder.

 

In order to take benefit from this guarantee, the motorhome owner must fulfil the following conditions:

 

  • Carry out the maintenance and annual checks required by the company at the authorised distributor network or by any VAT registered, NCC (National Caravan Council) approved workshop. A fully itemised invoice will be required as proof in the event of a claim.
  • The payable annual check will be to the account of the motorhome owner and must be carried out at his/her initiative, within a maximum of 2 months following the first anniversary of the first registration date.

 

Additional Equipment

 

All the normal maintenance work must be carried out by the authorised representatives or by the manufacturers or authorised representatives of the different equipment (fridge, heating cooker etc.). In the event of the servicing bringing the need for an intervention to light that is out of guarantee, the carrying out of the same will be with the prior agreement of the customer in accordance with the quote given by the distributor.

 

Motorhome Guarantee 24 Months

 

The guarantee covers the labour and parts supplied to replace or repair those found to be faulty completely free of charge for a period of 24 months from the date of registration of the vehicle.

 

The guarantee given by the manufacturer only applies when the materials have been used correctly in accordance with the recommendations as shown in the Service Manual that is delivered with each vehicle and with the reservation that these materials have been used under normal working conditions.

 

Exclusions

 

Panama shall not be liable under the Water Ingress or Motorhome guarantee for any defect related to or arising from the following:

 

  • The failure of a component for reasons of fair wear and tear;
  • Damage resulting from freezing, fire, over-heating or accidents (whether caused by the user or a third party);
  • Misuse of any component;
  • Normal deterioration, corrosion, intrusion of foreign or harmful bodies, lack of servicing or negligence of any person which causes stoppage of or impairment to the function of any component of the motorhome;
  • Replacement of parts which have reached the end of their effective working life because of age and/or usage;
  • Cleaning or adjustment of any assemblies;
  • Cosmetic finishes to kitchen sinks, cooker tops, vanity units, shower trays; and/or
  • Routine maintenance items which are part of the annual service including lubricants, rubber gas hose, the cleaning of the heater and fridge flues, the replacement of gas jets, the resealing and/or replacement of shower room sealant, and the adjustment and lubrication of locks.

 

The elements not made by the manufacturer or in accordance with its designs that become part of the makeup of the vehicle (cooker, fridge, heating etc.) will only have the guarantee granted by the manufacturer of said elements.

 

It is specified that all elements that wear out quickly such as: seals, pipes, brake accessories, tyres, air chambers, etc. that are not guaranteed by their respective manufacturer, will be excluded from the guarantee provided by Benimar - also excluded are the windows and windscreen glasses. In addition, the guarantee will not apply to elements on vehicles that have been modified by anyone after leaving the factory, be it by means of the alteration of initial parts, due to the installation of new parts, except in the event that said installation has had prior approval from Benimar.

 

Conditions for the Exercising of the Guarantee

 

  • The guarantee will commence from the date of the first registration. For the purposes of making the exercising of the guarantee easier, the buyer is recommended to do the following:
  • To make notification of any change of address, in order to make the change, you are requested to send it in one of the following languages: English, French or Spanish.
  • In the case of a resale, the guarantee will continue on condition that the new owner notifies us of his/her details by post to:

As work under the conditions of the Guarantee can only be carried out in authorised workshops, the user will have to take the vehicle to them.

 

The costs of transport of the motorhome, where applicable, to our workshops, in addition to the possible expenses caused as a result of the immobility of the same will be to the account of the buyer and the time necessary for the repair of the vehicle will not be able to give rise to any compensation for immobility or other. There is an extensive distributor network available to you (see Annexe 1 of Service book), thanks to which, each workshop offers you the guarantee that your vehicle will be checked, maintained and repaired in accordance with the most modern techniques.
