Marquis are proud to announce its latest community initiative: a comprehensive sponsorship of the junior section at Bishops Waltham Cricket Club in Hampshire. This exciting partnership will provide the junior ‘Colts’ team with top-quality bats and balls, professional coaching team clothing, and high-quality cricket covers for the club, ensuring they are well-equipped for the upcoming season.
"As a company who love to be involved with our local community, we believe in supporting local sports and fostering talent right from the grassroots level," said Richard Morse, Branch Manager at Marquis Hampshire. "Cricket is more than just a game; it's a passion that brings people together, and we're thrilled to be a part of that."
Sarah Williams, BWCC Chairperson & Club Development Manager, expressed their gratitude: “We are a community cricket club, which is entirely funded through membership, fundraising activities, grant funding and sponsorship. In today’s challenging financial landscape, we face a constant struggle to secure the resources we need to continue our growth and development. Youth development is also a core focus for our club and the sponsorship we have received from Marquis Leisure plays an essential role in ensuring that clubs like ours continue to thrive. It will enable us to continue providing the highest quality coaching and opportunities for children within the local community to play cricket and learn important life skills, like teamwork and resilience. We extend our grateful thanks to Marquis for their generous support. Their contribution is not just an investment in our club but an investment in the community's future.”
