The Lucky Winner at the CAMC West Hampshire Centre's 60th Birthday Celebrations

Congratulations to Mr Wolfe who was the winner of a Habitation Check at his local Marquis Service Centre from the prize draw at the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s West Hampshire Centre’s 60th Birthday Celebration Rally.

Over the recent August Bank Holiday weekend the Caravan and Motorhome Club's West Hampshire Centre celebrated their 60th birthday with a rally held at Little Metlands Farm near Bishops Waltham and was attended by 103 units from all over the South. Marquis supported the rally with a prize of a Free Habitation Inspection Voucher for the weekend raffle and the lucky winner was Mr Wolfe.

The organisers of the rally have been in touch with us to share with us how much fun they had over the weekend...

"We had the best time and all of the committee were absolutely buzzing for days after, because of how well it went.

We ran an event at Little Metlands Farm, where we held a huge marquee that was big enough for 250 people.  We had 103 units attend the event, and it was excellent to see everyone dancing and laughing together all weekend long. Those who attended were from all over the South, so it was great to catch up with friends near and far.

Evening entertainment:

Thursday - Shaun and Stu entertained us with a pub quiz, that had alternative quiz rounds, like balloon making, as well as picture and music rounds. They ended the night with a little bit of magic for us all.

Friday - The singer Steve Cherelle entertained us, with his amazing voice, guitar skills and hilarious jokes in between the music. The dance floor was packed all night.

Saturday - We had the group Boom Town who are a Hampshire band, that played songs for all.  They were great with the children and adults of all ages. The children loved being down the front, joining in with the songs on the microphone and dancing the night away.

Sunday - We dressed in checked shirts, cowboy boots and hats and thoroughly enjoyed the night with the Woodsiders Barn Dance Band. We could have done with a dance floor double the size, with the amount of people wanting to join in every single dance. It was lovely to see everyone swinging their partners, and the children dancing with the adults. No one wanted it to end.

Daytime entertainment:

A Darts Match that included pom pom girls, walk on songs and a lot of fun and banter. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails provided while cheering on the players.

Kubb Game, where teams of 4 competed to knock over wooden blocks. There is a little bit more to it than this and it was a well attended game, with lots of teams of all ages. The sun was out for this outside lawn game, as the ice cream van arrived just at the right time, for us all to enjoy.

Kids Club every morning, where the children did some arts and crafts as well as playing games with the giant parachute.

Kids disco each evening, where the children were able to limbo there way across the dance floor, and enjoy all sorts of games and dances, like four corners and super man, to name a few.

Catering:

We had an excellent catering team, working hard all weekend, cooking everyone bacon rolls, sausages and burger and chips, as well as providing an incredible Cream Tea.
